Celebrity Melon Boats

Surf Life Saving Clubs and recognised Sporting Clubs will represent their organisation (by invitation of the committee)  to become our "Boats" and tow the ski rop for the Melon Skiing Event.

Melon Skiing

Visitors to the Festival can try their hand at squishing their feet into watermelons, and skiing down a course of soap and melon gunk!  As hard as it sounds, and even more hilarious to watch!

Melon Chariot Race

Teams will compete in a Chariot Race around the Arena at the closing of the Arena Games.  Competitors will have to assemble their chariot from melon packing cartons, pallets, ropes and ready-made axles, then race around the arena for a cash prize.

Melon Food Court

A massive Marquee set up in the centre of the Festival, providing shade and a central location for food and refreshments for the entire festival.

Melon Bungy

Battle it out with three other competitors to reach your melon first! The catch? You're all attached to each other by a stretchy bungee cord and the ground is slippery from all the smashed melon!

Pip Spitting Final

Bring out your innter child and look out for the travelling Pip Spitting Cavelcade throughout the day. Only the best get into the finals!

Melon Bulls Eye

Have a go at throwing a large melon through a bulls eye - but beware, they're heavy!

Let your imagination run wild with this one... LOTS of fun!!

FREE Family Concert and Fireworks 'til late

In 2009, the Concert featured multi-award winning Beccy Cole!! The performers for the 2011 Festival are yet to be announced.
